P.S. 307 moves full STEM ahead!

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) at P.S.307 is all encompassing, every child from Pre-K to Grade 5 is immersed in STEM studies throughout their day and within all academic subjects. The school has created a STEM lab where students conduct experiments – such as dissecting squid and fish, creating candy catapults, building rubber band racers, making hail in a test tube, and more. With a new WeatherBug weather station at the school, students will analyze weather data and use it to collect and analyze weather data, create graphs and make predictions about weather patterns. In the new “Maker’s Space” that will open in Fall 2016, “little makers” will not only work with 3-D printers and robotics but also learn coding basics.
