Meet our new art teacher Miss Gatoff

My name is Ms. Gatoff and I am the new Art teacher here at PS 307!  Prior to arriving here, I was the Art teacher for District 75 @ P231K in Borough Park, Brooklyn for four years.  I am a Fine Arts graduate from Northeastern University and a Visual Arts Education graduate from Hofstra University.
I was looking for another opportunity to blend my interests and abilities in art with my knowledge and experience in teaching children. I am a highly motivated teacher who is creative, talented, patient, determined, flexible, as well as have a sense of humor and a lot of energy. From drawing stick figures as a child, to building chairs as a college student, art always allowed me to bring out my true self. My prior experience has also helped me develop highly effective techniques and methods for teaching all of my students whatever their ability or special needs required. Working collaboratively with my colleagues, parents and administrators, my goal is always to provide the best educational experiences possible for all of my students.
I want to help the PS 307 children capture this positive outlook on life that art gave to me. I’m loving the chance to contribute something good for generations to come.  In the short time I’ve been here, your children have shown such talent in the arts, and I can’t wait for all of you to see all the wonderful projects that we will continue to create throughout the year!
