LM Dance Club

The Liturgical & Modern Dance Club formed in 2019 after a group of students performed the debut dance “BIGGER” by Jekalyn Carr at the school’s annual “Beloved Community” Celebration. There wasn’t a dry eye in the auditorium, and the club gained a flow of interested dancers. Dancers now meet every day except Thursdays during fourth period (4th grade recess) for rehearsal, training, updates, and handouts. The Club also meets for dance intensives every Tuesday from 2:30-6pm, with a snack at 3:15, and training and study of Ballet, African, and other cultural dance history. The mission of the club is to promote movement, creativity, teamwork, and leadership in children as well as to foster an appreciation of the performing arts by having children participate in and develop dances to various genres of music. Contact Ms. ONeal ( for more information.
