Our partnership with SPARK in DUMBO

Pre-K & Kindergarten classes had classroom visits by the SPARK team during the last few weeks, then culminated in a visit to the Brooklyn Children’s Museum annex SPARK in Dumbo.
Culminating Project:
All Artworks created in the classroom will be assembled on a mural-sized piece of paper by the students. PK Buildings will be placed in the background by students, and the block party collagraph printed figures will be in front of the buildings drawing elements can be added if students are inspired to add more details. The mural will be completed at SPARK and returned to PS307 for display in the hallway.
Block Party:
Through this partnership at PS307 and SPARK by the Brooklyn Children’s Museum children develop essential problem-solving skills through collaborative group projects. Students will build vocabulary and self-confidence as they are encouraged to take risks and explore. Inspired by images of Brooklyn neighborhoods and neighbors working together they will engage in meaningful conversations about community values.
